After 20 years of acting and singing on Broadway, in Europe and across the country, Steven has decided to take the easy road and open his own business (a little joke for you small business owners out there.)  Steven is co-owner of Bogie & Cy the House Guys, LLC, a design and build construction company in New Jersey.  Currently, he and his wife, choreographer Kyle Craig, make their home in Maplewood, NJ.

Performing and teaching have been a part of his life since he was born.  Music is what the Bogard family did, from rock music in the basement to full piano, trumpet and viola concertos.  He grew up playing four instruments until at the University of Colorado he decided to concentrate on Voice and Musical Theatre.  During that time he co-produced and performed in the critically acclaimed jazz quartet, Solstice.  Drawing on his years of experience with vocal technique, Mr. Bogard nurtures students from around the world in his private voice studio.

Broadway and tour credits include: Dr. Jekyll, Jekyll and Hyde; Sky Masterson, Guys and Dolls; Vince Fontaine/Teen Angel, Grease (German adaptation). Other favorite roles include:  Anatoly Sergievsky, Chess; Thomas Andrews, Titanic; Pilat, Jesus Christ Superstar; Don Lockwood, Singin in the Rain; Rapunzel’s Prince, Into the Woods; Danny Zuko, Grease.  Recordings include:  The Spiritus CDs Spiritus and We Are One, Grease das Musical, EMI Electrola, GMBH; Tumble Weed, Eaglier Productions. Steven is also a voice over artist and can be heard as the voice of several animated cartoon characters.

“Unity of New York and Spiritus are my outward conduits to Spirit.  Whenever I face a challenge or hardship in my life, their loving support helps me once again find the light and go within the hear The Breath of God.”
