Antonio is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and currently resides in New York, New York. He grew up in a very Baptist home with a Christian upbringing. His father is a minister as well as both grandfathers and two brothers, totaling 5 ministers in his immediate family. His grandmother was a sought-after choir director and his mother was the lead soloist in the church choir.
Antonio started sharing his gift of song around age five. His interest in music blossomed throughout the years ~ from playing piano to writing his own songs even before he got to high school. After graduation and working for a few years he moved to Dallas, TX. It was here that he was discovered by a Religious Science minister while singing at a local piano bar. The principles of New Thought resonated with Antonio and he became the featured vocalist at that congregation for the entire 10 years he spent in Dallas.
After a brief stop in Charlotte, NC and three years in Roanoke, VA, he finally made it to New York in 2005 to pursue his dream and share his vocal talents as a career. Shortly after arriving in the Big Apple, Antonio began to audition and sing at clubs around the city. One Sunday, several months later, he walked into Symphony Space at 95th and Broadway, the home of Unity of New York, a Spiritual Center for Creative Living. He was immediately reminded of his love for the New Thought teachings he learned back in Dallas and knew he had found his new spiritual home.
It wasn’t long before Antonio joined the choir, Voices In Unity, under the direction of Britt Hall. After about a year, he expressed interest in joining the dynamic vocal ensemble, Spiritus, also under the direction of Britt Hall, and soon became a proud member of the Spiritus family. Antonio has been a member of Spiritus ever since and is thrilled to be a part of their second CD "We Are One". He is often a featured vocalist at Unity of New York.
Antonio produced and directed his own cabaret shows at The Triad in 2009 and The Cupping Room in 2010. He is currently working on material for his debut solo CD and is planning a release before the end of the year.
